2021 Rivulet Forestier Chardonnay
2021 Rivulet Forestier Chardonnay
“This is lean and long in style but it’s appeal, regardless, is immediate. Hay, flint, white peach and apple flavours are married seamlessly to cedar-spice and sweet-roasted nuts, the finish adding a subtle steeliness. It’s good now but the fact that it will improve given time seems pretty obvious.”

"Chardonnay (Penfolds clone) sourced from the Tasman Peninsula. Hand picked and whole-bunch pressed with some oxidative handling before barrel fermentation with wild yeast; 10 months in barrel. Light straw in hue with notes of white peach, Meyer lemon, ginger cake, lightly spiced French oak, white flowers and crushed stone. Fragrant and pure fruited in the mouth with bright acidity and a lovely textural pithiness on the finish."
